Course Overview

This 15-day expert-level course is designed for senior transmission engineers to master advanced OTN, WDM, and all-optical switching technologies. The curriculum covers next-generation features like Optical Service Unit (OSU), ASON (Automatically Switched Optical Network), and 100G+ ultra-long-haul (ULH) transmission. Trainees will gain deep expertise in network planning, reconstruction, and complex troubleshooting using iMaster NCE-T.

Course Outcomes

  • Design and implement complex ASON intelligent optical networks with tiered service levels
  • Master the deployment of Next-Generation Hard Pipe (NHP) using Optical Service Units (OSU)
  • Perform professional network reconstruction including OADM-to-ROADM and node evolution
  • Utilize iMaster NCE-T, Optical Doctor, and Fiber Doctor for proactive network O&M
  • Architect Ultra-Long-Haul (ULH) 100G+ solutions using Super C-Band and coherent tech
  • Resolve high-level transmission faults related to optical power, bit errors, and protection nesting
  • Plan and configure clock and time synchronization for multi-vendor transmission environments
